My name is Amber Faille, and I have worked in the field of addiction for about 15 years. I love working with and learning from new people, and I am certified to provide addiction counseling to those throughout the nation. Currently, I live in Sacramento, CA area and have seen firsthand the consequences of having a loved one struggle with opiates. My loved one’s opiate addiction inspired me to better understand addiction and assist my family in working through addiction-related issues. The experience taught me there are a lot of families struggling like mine did, which led me towards taking educational steps to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work and Clinical Counseling. 

A key element of my practice includes assisting people in their transition from active use of heroin and other drugs to cutting back, and eventually to abstinence. My belief is to assist those most in need, and I believe those actively using are most in need. I provide counseling to individuals and their families struggling with addiction. I feel energized when I am being supportive to others, expressing compassion, and counseling people towards recovery. 

I appreciate that online counseling is done from the ease of our homes, which side steps traffic and parking frustrations. In addition to video chat counseling, when I am home, I enjoy learning to paint and spending time with my husband and our new baby. I also love to cook for my family and friends. Through all of my relationships, I have learned we are all able to rise above problems and reach our goals by working together.
